ひだまりを、住まう。

光は、空間を照らすだけでなく、
日々の変化にそっと気づきを与えてくれる。

​

朝と夕、一日に二度あらわれる光の線。
壁をなぞりながら、静かに伸びていくその光は、
この場所に、やさしく時間を刻んでいく。

Concept

ソラリウムとは、ラテン語で「日時計」を意味する言葉である。
光によって時間を感じる場所。

​

本計画では、その考えを住まいの中心に据え、
光とともに過ごす「ひだまりの居場所」をかたちにした。

 

外と内のあいだに設けたソラリウムは、
庭と室内を緩やかにつなぐ中間領域である。
光や風、視線をやさしく受け止めながら、
暮らしに広がりと奥行きをもたらす。

 

空間の核となるのは、南へと広がる台形の吹き抜けである。
この形状は、視線の広がりを生み出すと同時に、
光を効率よく取り込むための合理的なかたちでもある。

​

取り込まれた光は、空間の奥へとやわらかく届き、
時間とともに、ゆっくりと表情を変えていく。

 

斜め壁に沿って設けた左官の壁柱は、
縦の陰影をつくり出し、空間に心地よいリズムを与える。
一日に二度、「光の線（line of light）」が静かにあらわれ、
そのわずかな変化が、日々の中に小さな気づきと温もりをもたらす。

 

外付けブラインドは、光を遮るのではなく整えるためのもの。
強い日射や視線をやわらかく受け止めながら、
開放性と落ち着きを心地よく保つ。

 

さらに、C値0.1、断熱等級7という高い住宅性能により、
外部環境に左右されにくい、安定した室内環境を実現している。

 

感覚的な心地よさと、合理的な性能が静かに重なり合う。

 

光に包まれ、
日々の移ろいに気づきながら、
温もりのある時間がゆっくりと流れていく。

そんな静かな豊かさに満ちた居場所である。

SOLARIUM

A Place to Dwell in Light

 

Dwell in sunlight.

Light does more than illuminate space—
it gently reveals the presence of time.

 

Twice a day, a line of light appears.
Tracing the wall, it slowly extends,
quietly marking the passage of time.

Concept

 

The word Solarium originates from Latin, meaning “a sundial.”
A place where time is perceived through light.

 

This project places that idea at the center of the house,
creating a space of sunlight as its core.

 

Positioned between the garden and the interior,
the solarium acts as an intermediate zone—
softly connecting inside and outside while receiving light, air, and views.

 

At the heart of the space, a trapezoidal void opens to the south.
This geometry expands the visual field
while efficiently capturing natural light.

 

The light drawn into the space spreads gently inward,
shifting its character throughout the day.

 

Along the slanted wall, plastered vertical ribs create subtle shadows.
Twice a day, a “line of light” appears across the surface,
bringing small moments of awareness and warmth into everyday life.

 

Externally mounted blinds do not block light,
but shape it—
softly controlling sunlight and privacy while maintaining openness.

 

With an airtightness of C-value 0.1 and insulation grade 7,
the house achieves a stable and comfortable indoor environment.

 

A quiet balance between sensory comfort and architectural performance.

 

Wrapped in light,
becoming aware of the subtle changes of each day,
time flows gently with a sense of warmth.
